Bordeaux-Begles and Ulster begin their European Champions Cup campaigns this weekend. Luke Marshall, Stuart Olding and Ruan Pienaar are also back along with
Andy Warwick, Alan O'Connor, Franco van der Merwe and Sean Reidy.
Luke Jones is named in the back row in place of Louis-Benoît Madaule, with Cyril Cazeaux partnering captain Jandre Marais in the second row. A new front row sees Vadim Cobilas, Clément Maynadier and Jefferson Poirot all start.
Bordeaux-Begles coach Raphael Ibanez has preferred Madigan to Lionel Beauxis, who moves to the bench while Jean-Baptiste Dubie comes in at centre and partners Romain Lonca. Marshall and Olding will be paired together in midfield, while Pienaar returns at scrum-half to join Paddy Jackson in a formidable half-back partnership.
