How do the Eagles pull this off? They run, they keep Dungey on the sidelines, and they don’t let this get into any sort of a shootout.

Eagles have given up points and loads of them to two of the pass-first offenses they've faced. The defense should be able to handle a rush-first offense enough to keep the wheels moving and here's to hoping we saw something "click" last week and we don't get gashed in the air on some fluke play-action.

Eagles haven’t faced a slew of top passing teams, but they still have a secondary that’s slowing down everything and everyone but Deshaun Watson.

Huskies suffered a 42-27 defeat at the hands of South Florida to drop to 3-4. Quarterback Bryant Shirreffs continues to provide most of the offense for UConn, combining for nine total touchdowns.

Scott Frost’s team has to go on the road for two more weeks with Houston coming up next, but it’s got three home games to follow.Huskies depend on Shirreffs, and that can be a problem. Without his 231 rushing yards, UConn has gained only 659 total rushing yards this season. The majority of those belong to Arkeel Newsome, who must become a bigger threat.

UConn offense isn’t exploding, either, but the defense went bye-bye on the road in blowout losses to Houston and USF, giving up 42 points in each game. The defensive front will stop the UCF ground game that hit a brick wall last week against Temple – after doing a nice job throughout the year – and with no deep passing game to count on. Huskies defense is stout against the run, giving up only 129.86 yards per game. They will be challenged though against a UCF team that loves to run the ball.

Army’s triple-option offense was clicking once again following the previous week’s 13-6 setback at Duke, as the Black Knights had a season-high 671 yards of total offense.

The Mean Green have alternated wins and losses over the first six weeks, coming up with a terrific victory over Marshall last week after losing to Middle Tennessee the week before. The offense has been hit-or-miss, and it’s shown in the results going 3-0 when scoring more than 21, and 0-3 when coming up with fewer.

The last year these teams played was in 2010, when Army pitched its first shutout since 2005 in a 24-0 home win. North Texas came into that game with the No. 23 passing offense in the country at 282.5 yards per game but was held to just 106 yards. Meanwhile, seven Army players combined to run for 292 yards.

The Black Knights will get within bowl range with their fifth win of the season, getting the running game going early and forcing the Mean Green to press too much.

Gerald Everett has caught 31 passes for 518 yards and 3 touchdowns, while Josh MaGee has caught 24 passes for 282 yards and 2 touchdowns for South Alabama.

Before the Flood is a 2016 documentary film about climate change directed by Fisher Stevens. The film was produced by a collaboration between Stevens, Leonardo DiCaprio, James Packer, Brett Ratner, Trevor Davidoski, and Jennifer Davisson Killoran. Martin Scorsese is an executive producer Revealed by DiCaprio on September 9, 2016 at the Toronto International Film Festival, the documentary will debut October 30, 2016 on the National Geographic Channel.
“Before the Flood” is a very powerful climate change film starring the Hollywood heavy hitter, who has made global warming education a very personal cause for decades.  “First of all, he brings authenticity … you don’t get named the U.N. Messenger of Peace for climate change if you aren’t genuinely committed to the issue,” National Geographic CEO Courteney Monroe told.

At the beginning of the documentary, which was produced by Brett Ratner and executive produced by Martin Scorsese, DiCaprio muses that “the UN may have picked the wrong guy” in choosing him for the job of UN Messenger of Peace, alluding to the fact that he’s not feeling particularly optimistic about the future of our planet.

Walking Dead retrospective that aired Sunday, the network revealed that Season Eight would feature 16 new episodes, with each new episode followed by the similarly renewed Chris Hardwick-hosted aftershow Talking Dead. AMC announced that the show would return for its eighth season in late 2017.

Kirkman said "I'll probably get crucified for this, but I feel like there's a culture of instant gratification now: Netflix, social media, everything is on demand at all times. Nothing is withheld. You can't do 52 episodes a year. It's just not feasibly possible. If you can do something that has people talking about your show in that gap between seasons, that's great. We just ask that if you've enjoyed the show so far, just know, Season Seven is going to be pretty great."

The 3-2 Texans are in first place in the division after winning it last year, but it once again is a very close race. Indianapolis Colts, led by Andrew Luck, Frank Gore and T.Y. Hilton, will travel to NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, on Sunday to play an AFC South divisional game against Lamar Miller, Deandre Hopkins, Will Fuller and the rest of the Houston Texans.

“It makes a statement,” Miller said. “I know from me as a running back, it gives me that confidence to be like ‘OK, we are moving the ball and running it, so let’s keep it going and we should be good.’”

The Colts have actually done really well against the Texans, as they are 23-5 against them all-time and have won six of the last seven, including their last five games with Andrew Luck at quarterback. The Colts are 10-4 in Houston and have won their last three matchups there.

Luck’s been sacked a combined 11 times in the last two games and 20 times this season. He’s also endured 40 quarterback hits. The Texans have amassed 16 sacks in six games they’ve played against the former Stratford Spartan.

the Seattle Seahawks will battle the Atlanta Falcons. It’s a game that has a little of everything, including productive and explosive offenses thanks to two great quarterbacks in Russell Wilson and Matt Ryan.

QB Matt Ryan leads the NFL with 1,740 passing yards and 10.4 yards per completion, along with 26 completions of 20-plus yards and 10 of 40-plus. Translation? He is highly comfortable in Year 2 under coordinator Kyle Shanahan and has a wealth of receivers to distribute the ball to. Seattle's vaunted defense, meanwhile, works best when the front four is able to stop the run and the zone pass defense generates turnovers.

Denver Broncos, Matt Ryan remains fantasy football’s top quarterback. That’s not something fantasy owners expected to say at the onset of the season, but the fact of the matter is the Falcons’ signal caller has been on absolute fire. Ryan faces another awful matchup on the road against the Seahawks’ elite pass defense, but it is one that could be without Kam Chancellor.

The Seahawks have been coy in their plan, but expect Jones and Sherman to see plenty of one-on-one time. The only time they have faced each other was in the 2012 playoffs where Jones caught six passes for 59 yards. However, Sherman was not exclusively on Jones in that meeting.

Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio, a Bay Area native obviously aware of the history behind this matchup, hopes to see another great game between the two teams ending in the Raiders’ favor. Oakland hasn’t won four straight games since their 2002 season, which was the last time they reached the postseason and the Super Bowl.

Latavius Murray now missing back-to-back games with a toe injury, the Raiders will look to their rookie running backs DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard to carry the load against a porous Chiefs run defense. Carr has 11 touchdown passes to only two interceptions and leads the league with two fourth-quarter comebacks and two game-winning drives. But he will have to overcome his struggles against the Chiefs' star-laden defensive backfield.

Bill Musgrave praised the duo for their ability to take on such a large workload this early in their careers.  Brad Childress and Matt Nagy have overseen a unit that is 21st in average yards per game (338.5).  Spencer Ware has done a solid job filling for Charles, racking up 284 rushing yards and a touchdown to go along with 199 receiving yards off of 11 receptions.

Rams fly to London after game in Detroit for next weekend’s game against New York Giants. … Rams QB Case Keenum threw two TDs in each of last two road games, wins over Arizona and Tampa Bay. … Rams WR Tavon Austin had career-high seven receptions, 59 yards receiving, and 26 yards rushing on three carries last week against Buffalo.

There’s only one way to combat this, and that’s parsing each game, one at a time. Here’s what needs to be considered when the Los Angeles Rams take on the Detroit Lions.  Donald wasn’t a sure thing coming out of Pitt, but he played with relentless effort and the Lions, who took Ebron 10th overall, were a year away from being situation critical at defensive tackle. Donald had three sacks against the Lions last year, and everyone’s anxious to see the encore today.

Michael Brockers, Robert Quinn and William Hayes only practiced once during the week and at a limited capacity. It’s a matchup that favors Matthew Stafford and Marvin Jones, and with the Lions’ backfield so banged up, it won’t be a surprise to see them take to the air early and often.

Bears will have to try and right their wrongs against the 1-3 Jacksonville Jaguars, who are coming off their bye week. With a win, Chicago would have already doubled their win total and would have some much-needed momentum going into a Thursday night game in Week 7 against the hated Green Bay Packers on a short week of preparation.

Jacksonville heads to Chicago on Sunday for game against the Bears, who are also struggling in 2016.
Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. Eastern from Soldier Field and the game will be televised by CBS.

Jacksonville is trying to get on the right track before it gets too late into the season. With both ball clubs struggling, this Week 6 matchup has the potential to be a close one. Bears, who have been ravaged by injuries on both sides of the ball, are 1-4 and coming off a 29-23 loss at Indianapolis.

Chicago for a battle with those same Bears who put up 527 yards of offense in Indy last Sunday, but struggled to convert it to points and now Chicago will be desperate at home to get back into the win column.

The Eagles want to stay balanced offensively and not let the Redskins' pass rushers, primarily Ryan Kerrigan, tee off on Vaitai. Jordan Reed is healthy or not, Washington has a wide range of skill players who present a variety of challenges.

Washington must be ready for a mobile player who can make things happen on the run. That's not been its strong suit in recent years. "Everybody is going to have to do their part across the board," Schwartz said of the Redskins' offense."In some ways, a little bit like Pittsburgh. They have a lot of different receivers, a lot of different body types, a lot of different guys to use in a lot of different ways."

They have been equally good against the run and the pass and did something Washington could not: Stop Pittsburgh's powerful offense; Philadelphia beat the Steelers 34-3 at home.

The Cubs will start Jon Lester in Game 1. Lester pitched 8 innings in the Cubs' 1-0 win over the Giants in their NLDS opener. the Dodgers once again in need of a clutch performance from ace Clayton Kershaw. Major league ERA leader Kyle Hendricks pitches for the Cubs, who are three wins from their first pennant in 71 years.

Buffalo Bills, that’s the case Sunday afternoon when they play host to the struggling San Francisco 49ers at New Era Field. The 49ers are hoping Kaepernick can regain his form from the 2012 and 2013 seasons and help them snap a four-game losing streak. Buffalo pursuing its fourth straight victory, something that hasn’t happened since 2008.

The Bills play against this style quarterback every day in practice with Tyrod Taylor, so they should be fairly well-equipped to deal with the athletic Kaepernick, and if they can generate pressure without forcing Kaepernick to run, they should be able to bank on their backfield coverage and his inaccuracy to play well on defense.

Trojans have a record of 3-0 at the Coliseum but are 0-5 on the road. (USC is 2-7 away from home in games dating back to when Helton was interim coach last season.) This season, the road problems have been wide-ranging. Trojans travel to Arizona to take on the 2-4 WIldcats on Saturday afternoon. USC has a favorable road schedule in October, as the trip to Tucson will be the only road game for the Trojans all month.

Helton said he would address mental toughness and discipline before the team travels to Arizona. "You bring your run game, you stop the run, you play great special teams and you don't turn it over,” Helton said. “That usually equals a road win. We need one. This is a big game for us. A huge game for us."

The last time these two teams met in Tucson, USC pulled off a 28-26 win over Arizona, which was ranked No. 10 in the country at the time. The Trojans also handed the WIldcats their first loss of the season in 2014.

The Trojans are currently sitting at fourth in the division, sitting behind Colorado, Arizona State and Utah, who are all 2-1 in conference play.

Buffalo’s offense has been a problem all year. The 1-4 Bulls have one of the worst units in the country – No. 127 in total offense out 128 – and haven’t gone over 400 total yards against an FBS opponent. Buffalo (1-4) and Ball State (3-3) square off for the 10th time on Saturday, but the most memorable battle transpired in 2008. The 2008 MAC Championship was one of the most meaningful in history, featuring a 12th-ranked undefeated Ball State team destined for a BCS Bowl and a heavy-underdog 7-5 Buffalo Bulls.

Watch Corey Hall (No. 8) and Martez Hester (21). Is Hester playing up in the box to defend Johnson? Hall is a former cornerback who has cover skills. Hester has 28 career starts. Given UB’s struggles to throw downfield, you would think the Cardinals will play eight men in the box.

Cardinals won three of their first four games, then let previously winless Northern Illinois rack up 653 yards of offense in a 31-24 defeat on Oct. 1, despite forcing three turnovers. They defended better last week against Central Michigan, but they finished with a season-low 340 yards offensively as Riley Neal’s two interceptions canceled out James Gilbert’s 141-yard, two-touchdown effort on the ground.

Wake got back on track with a 28-9 win over Syracuse. The 5-1 Wake Forest Demon Deacons head down to Tallahassee to make their first attempt at becoming bowl eligible. Wake Forest will square off against the 4-2 Florida State Seminoles tomorrow at 3:30 at Doak Campbell Stadium on ESPN. Quarterback John Wolford ran for two touchdowns and the Deacons controlled the ball for more than 34 minutes.

Nick Holley has gotten the chance to take over the offense. Holley hasn’t disappointed, putting together strong games in both of his starts while sparking the Golden Flashes’ offense that was struggling to move the ball through its first four contests.

The Kent State Golden Flashes are 2-4 and 4-2 ATS. Betting totals have seen the Miami-OH RedHawks post a 1-5 over under record this season, while the Kent State Golden Flashes have gone 4-2 against the number.
Holley stepped in and has helped the Golden Flashes gain over 400 yards in each of the last two. He threw for 285 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 117 and a score in a close loss to Akron on Oct. 1, then ran for 224 yards and four touchdowns in last week’s 44-20 win over Buffalo.

The power rankings show a disparity between these teams, with the Miami-OH RedHawks rated this week at No. 88 and the Kent State Golden Flashes sitting at No. 113.

Eagles have largely benefitted from the play of their stout offensive line who is averaging less than one sack allowed per game. This line will be challenged though by the nation’s top pass-rushing defense, the Ohio Bobcats. Led by Tarell Basham and Quentin Poling, Ohio is sacking quarterbacks more than four times per game.

The 4-2 Bobcats squandered opportunities in a 56-54, three-overtime loss to Texas State in the opener and a 28-19 loss at Tennessee as Louis Zervos kicked four field goals in each. They’ve been better during their three-game winning streak, though, and held off Bowling Green, 30-24, last week.

Ohio has attempted 36 passes a game.  The Eagles have lost the last six meetings with Ohio, and quarterback Brogan Roback might need a big game to help end that streak. Ohio is the favored to win but will need to have big games out of both Greg Windham and Sebastian Smith. Eastern Michigan has a top 50 rushing defense but has allowed over 260 yards per game through the air, meaning Windham could have a huge game throwing the ball.
